Sustainable Glamping: Our Eco-Friendly Approach

At Moonlit Canopy, we are committed to providing you with a one-of-a-kind glamping experience that allows you to connect with nature in the most luxurious way — all while knowing that your stay isn’t harmful to the beautiful environment surrounding your state of the art glamping dome.

In addition to being the premier glamping destination in Pleasant Valley, we also pride ourselves on being one of the most sustainable options when it comes to choosing your next getaway. Oftentimes, camping trips can have a significant impact on the surrounding area, but that’s not the case at Moonlit Canopy. Here are some of the ways that Moonlight Canopy keeps glamping green.

Our Glamping Amenities Are Sustainable

Our glamping abodes are always created using sustainable materials and have heating facilities (such as propane fireplaces) that have a minimal effect on the environment. Upon arriving at your glamping dome, you will find that we offer very few disposable items that can be usually found at the standard hotel or vacation rental. Last but not least, glamping is considered less impactful than regular camping since most amenities are already available such as a bed, linens, or even food, which produces less waste left behind from items purchased specifically for the camping trip.

Moonlit Canopy Works With Local Partners

We try to run as close to a zero-waste operation as possible, meaning we provide guests with liquid soap in a pump dispenser in both the shower and beside the bathroom sink. Partnering with Tiber River means that our guests use natural, eco-friendly bath products free of phosphates, parabens, petroleums, PEG's & palm oil.

Our glamping accommodations offer visitors premium specialty ground coffee, Certified Fair Trade and Certified Organic from around the world! Local producers roast small batches for maximum quality and flavor. All packaging is done by hand, the old fashioned way.

Minimal Glamping Design For Less Land Disruption

Our glamping domes boast a minimal, non-invasive design so that we can honour our surrounding area rather than harm it. On top of having a minimal spatial impact on the environment, we are also proud to provide opportunities for our guests and members of the community to become land partners! This means your existing businesses (such as ski resorts, wedding venues, farms, etc.) can lease a portion of their land to allow Moonlit Canopy to set up glamping domes on their property, instead of having to disrupt other areas.

When it comes to eco-friendly travel, glamping is one of the best options out there. This is especially true for those living within driving distance of our glamping domes, as it allows couples, friends, and families to go glamping and avoid having to take a plane to go on a vacation. As we continue to grow, we are committed to finding new and innovative ways to make Moonlit Canopy as sustainable as possible so that you can enjoy your stay and feel good about it too.
